Most students complete the process in 2 to 4 months. With our self-paced online courses, you can accelerate this timeline and finish your required education in as little as 3 to 4 weeks.
You must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma (or equivalent), complete a 63-hour FREC-approved pre-licensing course, pass the state background check, and pass the Florida real estate sales associate exam with a score of 75% or higher.
You have 12 months from the date of enrollment to complete the 63-hour pre-licensing course. Our online platform saves your progress automatically, allowing you to study on your own schedule.
Florida requires new sales associates to complete a mandatory 45-hour post-licensing course before their first license renewal (which occurs 18 to 24 months after receiving your initial license).
After completing your initial post-licensing, you must renew your Florida real estate license every two years. This requires completing a 14-hour Continuing Education (CE) package, which must legally include 3 hours of Core Law, 3 hours of Ethics and Business Practices, and 8 hours of specialty or elective credits.
The total cost generally ranges from $500 to $700. This includes your pre-licensing education (~$299), state exam fees ($36.75), fingerprinting/background check (~$65), and the DBPR license application fee ($62.75).
